Yesterday, after the democratic debate, ABC posted an online poll to ask the viewers who we thought won.
Interestingly, Dennis Kucinich won, hands down!
But even more interestingly, ABC took down the poll results, and opened another poll, asking the exact same question.
Why is that? I sincerely don’t understand. They’ve even cut him out of the photo of all the candidates on their website (though his name is still in the caption below). What if America truly prefers him? How often have you convinced yourself the candidate you like is “unelectable?”
I’m pissed!
If you are a fan of Dennis, or perhaps even a fan of truth in reporting, click on over to the new poll and let ‘em know what you think:

I urge you to make informed, personal choices, instead of voting what we are spoon-fed by mainstream media, or not voting at all.
If you don’t really know which candidate is in best alignment with your particular values, take the quiz at SelectSmart.
Twenty-one multiple choice questions on issues can’t take up too much of your time, while giving you precious information and perhaps a bit of clarity.
Peace and love,

Democrats: 6-8pm central time on CNN.
Republicans: 6-8pm Tuesday, also CNN.
Unfortunately no third-party candidates are included.
In the meantime, check out Al Gore (not running, not in the debate tonight) calling out Diane Sawyer for focusing on trivial bits instead of the real issues.
Seen in an article on Mother Jones with this commentary:
While I have to say I’m getting a little tired of hearing some of the same phrases from Mr. Gore over and over (“I’m engaged in a different kind of campaign”), his gentle but firm calling-out of Diane Sawyer is awesome and totally deserved – I mean, he’s talking about the media’s fascination with the trivial and tendency to overdramatize, and then what does she do but go right to overdramatizing the trivial. With this and his telling John Stewart that his show is ironically one of the best places for real news, Gore is speaking so much truth right now it’s freaking me out.

and other great quotes at dubyaspeak.com, in case you haven’t seen that site yet. It’s mind-numbing but hilarious.

complete with video clips :)
I especially love #9, and how the “confused stare” lasts about five seconds longer than you think it will…!
