I’m doing sit-ups ( 3 variations ) and push ups 3 times a week, starting last week, along with a gym and swim session once a week.

Well i have been trying for a long time to get a flatter stomach and more defined abs! I just can’t seem to do it. i love my stomach right now (especially the top and sides) but i just can’t get my abs to show. i kno they are there because i can feel them!! I recently got my belly button pierced so i want to get my stomach really hot for the summer!! please help!! :) 4 years ago
my pledge to lose 20 ibs or more, I’m doing 60 sit-ups before I got to bed and when I get up in the morning.
That 20 normal sit-ups,
20 scissors sit-ups,
20 reverse sit-ups and then 20 push-ups.
You can feel the tummy tighten up by the time you do the push ups !!

but then fell of the wagon. I got closer than I’ve ever been in my whole life this Summer. I started out just trying to bulk up bodybuilder style, and my abs definitely got a LOT bigger, but they were still covered by a layer of fat. So it just proves that you can “have” abs easily, and even really toned ones. They may just be under a layer of flab. ;).
The best way to get them showing is cardio exercise, and if they don’t look great after that and are kinda flat. Then strength train to get that “lumpy belly” look. But doing 100 sit-ups a night isn’t going to be anywhere near as effective as splitting workouts into 3 or even 2 core workouts a week. You gotta give your body rest and time to “grow” and repair. 5 years ago
I’m going to try and do 100 situps everynight before I go to bed, I’ve already done it sunday and tuesday, and my stomach was sooo sore after. :O 5 years ago
it looks like it is there but don’t really care for having a six pack now that i think about it, i’m in good shape, as i run track for my school(quad injured though so that sucks) 6 years ago
I have a six pack and now I am working on an 8 pack. It is a little easier for me though being a guy runner. Good luck 6 years ago
I want to do it but i’ve given up. I do loads of sit-ups but don’t care for sixpack that much anymore. I’m in good shape i just can’t get rid of that keg. 6 years ago

Okay, I took a picture to mark progress.
Hm.. I like the sides of my stomach and the top, it’s just that little area of flub that like to hang over my jeans when I sit down.
