see "Firefly" put back on the air

I LOVE Firefly!I bought the entire season, and I’ve seen evey episode. That was very mean of them to cancel it!

As sad as this is to say, I think I need to let go.

I don’t normally make impassioned pleas for TV shows. As it is, I really don’t watch much TV. But this show was different.

I stumbled onto the product page on Amazon.com one afternoon and was intrigued by all of the amazing reviews. Normally this type of show wouldn’t interest me. I don’t like westerns. I don’t like space shows. However I bought the TV season that day on a whim. (I would normally never do something like this.)

When I received it, I watched the entire thing in one day. I was completely smitten. It was funny and poignant and beautifully written and acted. I cursed Fox up and down for canceling such a good show.

Afterwards I did another uncharacteristic thing and actually wrote letters and emails to Fox pleading with them to take back the series. I did the same to the Sci-Fi channel. Obviously they didn’t listen, but maybe one day they will. I’m not alone in my pleas, as the fan base for the show as grown almost exponentially since it was cancelled.

If you ever happen upon this series on a Blockbuster shelf or for sale in a store, I urge you to give it a try. It really is something very special. As for this goal, I think it’s time for me to stop cursing the network executives and be happy with the episodes that were made.

Got to live in the now.

Besides, Studio 60 is pretty smart TV and BSG continues to please.

I love this show, and I love what it’s about. I understand that the hope that the series will ever get picked up again is dim, but hey, no one thought a motion picture would be made either.

But it isn’t going to happen. I think I left this goal on my main page long enough to make my point though.

I don’t know how I missed this show when it was on the air. My husband and I bought the Firefly DVDs after seeing Serenity, and it was such an amazing show! Totally love it… The Ballad of Serenity is even my cell phone ring now… shiney. ;)

It just goes to show what a stange world we live in when something this good gets cancelled after one season, and so much crap just stays on the air indefinitely…. It’s been a very long time since there was something on television that I REALLY didn’t want to miss… Firefly could be like that. I wish they’d bring it back. :(

I encouraged people to see “Serenity” in an attempt to make the franchise look more profitable. I bought the DVD set of all the episodes.

And then I’ve only watched like 6 episodes.

I don’t like most Sci-Fi, but I love this show to pieces! So good in so many ways.

but by the third episode, I was hooked. The cast has amazing chemistry and I had a difficult time picking favorites. It’s a cryin’ shame it was cancelled….
