clean up my town

I kayak, I make a mental note to return with a rubbish bag…
I ride the pushbike, I make a mental note to return with a rubbish bag…
I go for a walk with a friend, I make a mental note to return with a rubbish bag…

Also, I predict that I will eventually fall out of the kayak attempting to pick up rubbish in the river. Right now I’m exasperated by rubbish but THEN I will be mad about rubbish! Downright grumpy I tell you!

The ‘be a bicycle tourist in my own town’ goal was inevitably going to end with me and a hessian sack doing rubbish duty to get rid of litter. sigh

this sat. Time to join others with my cause! WAHOO! I already have my Interact Club signed up to work beside me. I’m psyched! Hopefully loging 4 hours on Sat. (Would bring me to 66 hrs, only 34 away from my goal, baby!)

I did the middle part of the upper bike path. I found a doormat and 4 golf balls, and got 2 “Thank you!” ’s. Those make it worth it. PLUS: That section looks impecable. Now, when I walk by it every morning, I’ll have a little brighter view on life.

Going right now for an hr. of trash pick-up around my neighborhood- I urge others to do the same!

it makes my town look… trashy i guess. I’m shooting for just an hour every weekday- that is 5 hrs. of community service a week. I just have to do it though, right??
