Do legwarmers count?

Last season I went to a Blackhawks game and noticed the ice crew had the most fabulous Hawks legwarmers. I decided then and there that I must have some Bears legwarmers. Several sporting goods store employees gave me funny looks, offered me sweatpants and socks, but alas no store sold Bears legwarmers. It looks like I’m going to have to make my own, or convince someone who can knit to help me out. Or teach me a few things. Perhaps making these will count as my crazy pants!

I was looking through some online auctions for books on sashiko, and saw this little graphic which seemed to have what I think could be termed ‘crazy pants’.
