wildcreations has much to do.
‘im outdoors has ordered it and its due next week. How exciting. I hope we can get both computers to talk to it. :)
How I did it: Ok so I didn't buy the printer, 'im outdoors did, but i'm allowed to use it so I think that counts.
We started by looking at lots of printers on the net. Then my Dad told us he'd just bought one and we liked the quality of the printing so we started looking at Dells as that was what my Dad just bought.
Ordered it on their website and had a phone call confirming its delevery time and day within a day. Very quick.
Lessons & tips: When looking at the printer look at how much the ink cartrages cost too - whats the point in a £100 printer if the ink costs £300!
Also make sure you know what you are planning to use it for. Yeah I know you'll be using it for printing, but printing what? Do you really need a super colour printer if all your print is black and white? Do you need to print envelopes? Or paper bigger than A4?

finally picked one up today, the Canon Pixma MP240 All-in-One Printer
my sister is bringing an extra router so I can operate it as a wireless. Woot.
Haven’t printed anything on it yet, but it’s out of the box and setup on the shelf.
I was looking at the cheap £25 printer available at asda, but since it is no longer in stock it got me thinking more broadly about printers and what function I need it to perform. At this time I simply need a printer, but copying and scanning are also incredibly useful functions (especially the pdf conversion feature) so I’m leaning towards the Canon Pixma MP240 (All in One). From what I’ve read of the reviews this will be more than adequate for my needs, and not too costly to ink, but what I’d REALLY like to have is the WIRELESS version. Ooooooh…
got rid of a terrible epson and got a marvelous canon ip4300.
printed every day for 6 months and havent changed a cartridge

I had been eyeing the Epson Stylus, but user reviews on Amazon are not good. Now I’m thinking about the Canon Pixma. It has good reviews, looks cute, and small footprint.

1. comfortable desk chair
3. perhaps a wireless mouse
3. perhaps a wireless keyboard
Update: I went ahead and bought the desk chair, that metal folding chair hurt my back and butt too much. Sooo glad I did.

but it will do for now. with being in school and taking 7 classes and a few of them off site… it’s just really tough to have to run around to print out my papers. not to mention that i don’t have word, so if i ever have any special formatting, i just can’t print it out at school at all without getting 450 pages of computer code babble. it works for now, though. good to get the job done. but i can’t print out any of my photography. poop.

she would go inside the printer and pull out anything she could. she broke plastic pieces and pulled out the band that pulls the ink back and forth or something like that. it was old anyways, but it’s not like we can afford getting one right now. bleh. stupid cat.
My printer has just decided to die on me. It was never very good, and I often had to send documents to it a few times before I would get good results (weird smudges and stuff)...
Anyway, I’ve recently started a (very) small business so I really need a printer to send information out to prospective clients. I was half thinking about investing in a laser printer but I don’t know what’s good and what’s not.
Don’t have a lot of money, but I’d rather get a good printer that is not going to break down on me and doesn’t have the most expensive ink/toner on the market!
Any suggestions as to where I could start looking for impartial advice would be most welcome!
