Double Major

I want to double major in International Business and Security and Counter-Terrorism

so…I turned in all my papers before the semester finished. BUT, it hasn’t been posted yet. Since I’m at a big University, I had to cross-register at two of our schools to do my double major. I WOULD have made dean’s list at the other school if it had been posted in time. But it wasn’t, and I’m hoping my papers didn’t get lost ‘cause I’ll have to go through everything again in the fall which would not be fun…especially since the academic advisor I chose is going on leave next year. arg. I hope that it got updated, but that since it’s summer nothing is showing up. We shall see. The major itself will get done (though it’s a LOT of classes) but the paperwork to declare it is SO much worse.

I’m working on it…as long as I can get past organic chemistry I’ll be good. Natural Resource Management and Forest Biology are the two.

I am now majoring in Management [with Entrepreneurship track] and Marketing.

I’ve changed my mind so many times in the past year. I was originally a nursing major and then decided that wasn’t my calling. So I changed to history and then thought about double majoring in history and English. However, I have decided that I’m already late to the party in terms of my education, and I should probably focus on my history degree so that I can actually graduate sometime in the not-so-distant future. My school doesn’t offer double majors, so I would have to take an extra year or more to get a second degree. Grad school is still up in the air and likely will remain so for a while. I am leaning towards a joint degree – law school and historic preservation. If I do go to law school, my interests lie in environmental law and historic preservation, so that would make a very nice fit. So technically I’m not entirely giving up on this goal, just putting it off into the future for a while.

That’s so awesome that a another person commented that they double majoring in Psychology and English. So am I!
I also have a minor in Social Work. I am very committed to my studies and am working towards admissions in a Ph.D or Psy.d Clincal program.

I am considering adding history or psychology to my current major of nursing. I don’t want to drop nursing, but it may be a while before I can start the nursing classes (school is way overwhelmed with applicants). I don’t want to waste my time while waiting for that program. I spoke to my favorite history professor today and it turns out that I am only 12 hours away from an AA in history. Not that I can actually DO anything with an AA in history, but it would make a nice piece of paper to hang on the wall and a nice entry for my resume. I’m not sure if I will actually do it, but it would give me something to work towards instead of waiting and waiting and waiting.

English & Psychology…

They are both great and they both help me with my job even though my job is totally unrelated to either field!
