Make a to-do list for Easter weekend and do the stuff on it

1) Get the apartment decent looking enough to want to come home to it.Well, the sink is empty, that will have to do for now.

2) Decide how to handle Clover while we are gone. She’s coming with us!

3) Pack up the car.

4) Drive to Connecticut.

5) Finally feel like I’m somewhere I belong.

I've done as much as I can do 2 years ago

I’m not sure if the to-do list was a good idea this weekend or not. I guess it was because it kept me focused on doing things at times. I didn’t get it all done due to weather, mood and the holiday, but I’m satisfied.

  • Get a haircut
  • Think of more stuff to do
  • Get an oil change [Tried; Too crowded]
  • Clean off the dining table (sort of)
  • Go to the pet store for food (not for me)
  • Go to the store for toilet paper
  • Go to Central Market for free kitchen shears [Central Market was closed for Easter]
  • Work on my album-to-MP3 project
  • Smile when I’m feeling down at least three times (-one, two, three)-
  • Drink water
  • Walk in the neighborhood twice [too cold outside]
  • Write an email to Jo (-one, two)-

I tried to go to Central Market, but it’s shut down tight for Easter. Then I went to HEB, but it was closed, too. I ended up at Randall’s. Randall’s was less crowded than HEB usually is, but the lady in front of me at the cashier stand said, “I’ve never seen this store so crowded.” Thank goodness they were open, because I needed toilet paper. I think I’ll go to CVS for some herbal supplements and come home to work on my album to MP3 project. I’ve been drinking water, so I’ll be able to mark that off. And I’ll smile one more time, so I can mark that one off.

I went to the pet store today, and planned to go to the grocery store after, but couldn’t bring myself. I’ll try again later. The oil change isn’t going to happen at all. It’s cold and rainy here, which is uncharacteristic of this time of year, so I won’t be walking in the neighborhood. I will, right now, clean off the dining table. Right now. I promise.

Not much so far 2 years ago

I only thought of more stuff to do.

I went to get the oil change, but there was a line of cars, and I couldn’t bear the thought of sitting in a crowded waiting room for a long time. So I came home and didn’t feel like doing anything else.

I’m still on schedule for getting my haircut this evening. I considered canceling that, but I guess I’ll drag myself out.
