podcast 'professionally'

I like to podcast about what it’s like for a born and breed New Englander to leave much behind and move half-way around the world, to Hawaii!

I become less sure all the time that this is really a desirable thing. Podcasting I like. The compromises in trying to make money from it… hmm.

I’m lucky that my company lets me do it on company time, with company resources.

I’ve completed a couple podcasts using Garage Band and then uploading them to itunes, but how to I get them to a URL address. Every site I try to put them on, the file is too large. Is there any other way I can get people to check out and subscribe to my podcasts or does anyone know of a website that hosts them for free? Thanks

Well, I’ve actually gotten going on the podcast that I hope has some commercial viability. Done it weekly for three weekends now and maybe just barely starting to feel like I understand how to do it. Comments have been very favorable but getting the word out is hard … how many thousands of podcasts are there? Saying “I’ve done 225+ shows of a godcast” doesn’t seem to nudge people much.

Well I’ve certainly taken a step in the right direction for this. That is for damn sure.

We’ll see where it goes from here.
