clean out all my bookmarks at home and school and tag on del.icio.us

I finished this today. I took 20 minutes rather than 10. I started with over 500 bookmarks and am down to 359 after checking all the bum ones. Need to rebundle, but can do that anytime and it won’t take me long. WOO HOO!!!!

I want to have this one DONE. I have about 50 bookmarks left to go. It should only take me a few days, but the problem is any day I go to B’s I don’t do it (dial-up)!!!! Oh well, it will be done before I know it.

and fewer than 100 to go. It’ll be nice to have this little project done! I have to go through and re-bundle again, too, but that doesn’t take too long.

I am back to tagging 10 minutes a day after my del.icio.us account had a burp. The tech support people fixed it and I am ready to tag again. I am up to about 250 out of 424 links. I will be glad to have this done!

it is being a stinky butthead about sharing. The sharing option isn’t offered when I go to edit, and then when I save my new tags it says “share [?]” and when I click on the [?] it says I have a bookmark that is a file type that isn’t very nice to have on del.icio.us but it really is a nice file type and I e-mailed the support people and nothing. Doh.

Wow. I have tagged 200 sites. I’m almost halfway done. 10 minutes a day is turning out to be about perfect.

I think I will start setting the alarm on my phone so that I don’t spend more than 10 minutes at a time on this. I don’t want to overwhelm myself so that I stop before it’s done. It’s really not that interesting and I used it as an excuse to kill time. Five is really kind of short . . . and I had originally planned five at home and five at school, so that’s pretty much 10. Well, it is 10. Not pretty much. It is.

Making progress; tagging daily. Five minutes easily turns into 20 or more. I am now on page 12 of 49 (used to be 50 but I deleted some). Uffda. But it is nice to have all my bookmarks in one place, rather than some at school and some at home.

it’s good that I imported everything because now I don’t have to worry about taking time at work to transfer and tag. I can just put in my five minutes a day at home and that’s good enough until it’s done.

Thinking I should have cleaned them out before importing to del.icio.us, because now I have about 500 bookmarks on there. But, the bright side is that I can access them wherever I have a few minutes to work on tagging – like when I bring kids to the computer lab at work, or when I’m at my boyfriend’s house. I can do this wherever there is a computer and it doesn’t have to be my own. I feel that before I can check this off, though, I do need to have tagged and cleaned them all out, and bundled them all appropriately, or it will be a nightmare.
