Well, i know this isn’t quite design and build my own home yet, but i am getting some experiance for when it does happen. I just recently bought a condo that will be built in the spring. The builder is letting me pick my flooring, cupboards, and colors, so this will give me insight when i do get to build and design an actual house!! :)

I of course will create a room specifically for the 9 foot Steinway.

When I was younger, much younger, I had trouble falling asleep. I developed a routine. Every night, as I lie in bed, I started imaginig the house I would own and build. And I would imagine the things I would do in my house.

The trick worked so well that I can now go to sleep as soon as I rest my head on the pillow. I am now famous for how easily I can go to sleep. But I still do not have the house of my dreams. So I placed this goal back on my list.

I’m looking for a decent home building site. I want something so that my husband and I can sit down and move things around, and get a feel for what we want. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

There is something about bare soil, stone, and wood mixing together to form a place called home. I want to learn to do this all with my own hands someday.

I have been dreaming about my custom house since I was 8 years old. The vision has changed many times. But, the main idea is the same. I need to build a custom house because I refuse to bend my life around someone elses shoty workmanship and poor planning.
There are so many ideas that I would like to incorporate into my design that I think I will need to design several houses of varying styles. Maybe, I should have become an architect after all.
