I’m taking my last class now and only have six weeks left of it. Then I will start my final capstone project in January. I plan to be finished by the time the kiddos go on spring break.

How I did it: I started my masters as a full time student, but then found that, financially, I couldn't get it done in the allotted time. So, I had to switch to part time. Finally, after much sweat and tears, I finished. Never been so proud as when I walked across that stage. My dad forgot the camera. I'm not doing anything with my degree now, but it was wonderful to be able to study and to accomplish this goal. Read how I did it…

How I did it: I did it at my own time and pace - I took a year off after my undergrad, and also took time off during the Master's to do an internship. I had a lot of naysayers who said that I would never finish if I took breaks, but I knew that it were the breaks that would ensure that I finished! Read how I did it…

How I did it: I completed West Virginia University's Integrated Marketing Communications program to receive my Master's. The program is completely online, allowing you to learn from home so you can continue your education while continuing your life. It's a very challenging program and you have to be dedicated... but well worth it. Read how I did it…

This week I finished my twelfth class, which was the portfolio building class necessary for graduating. My portfolio is now complete!!!
Compared to that hurdle, the coursework I have left in my last two classes is cake. Bring on December 8 when it’s all done!

This makes me wonder, “What on earth was I thinking?!” ...But I know I’ll pull through.
Just wish me luck on both the written assignment and the group presentation that must be completed in the next 24 hours!

I usually only write when I finish a class, but this term has been so overwhelming that I am simply proud of my high marks in it so far!
In roughly five weeks my big final project is due. So far so good with it. After it’s done, the final two classes will be cake in comparison.
Everything will be done on December 8. I cannot wait!

Started one class. I’ve got five courses left plus a mini-thesis. With any luck I’ll be able to finish that in two years so I’ll be done in May of 2011 (tbc). I’d love to get this thing tucked away.
Start the count-down…!
I’m still working on my Bachelors but I’ll like to do this right afterwards.
I am halfway through a class now and trying to stay focused on homework intead of daydreaming. After this, I have one more class left and then I will start on my final project for graduation in January. The way it looks right now, I will finish during the first week of March 2010. :) I am excited to be so close to completion and geting my life back.
dragonfly35 good things come to those who wait, they really, really do!
I have one more semester of courses left – one academic course, and one reflective practice course in the fall. Then in the spring, I will be working on my research and writing my Capstone paper. I aim to present at the May seminar, but if I don’t make it, I can present in the summer of 2010 with no penalty. If I’m later than that, I’ll have to pay enrollment maintenance fees, so I want to avoid that – and besides I want this degree! If I can pass my language requirement by the time I Capstone, that would be so great… but if not, at least I found out that I don’t have to pay – and have another 3 years to complete it. I would be willing to accept that extension on my degree if I don’t have to pay for it, and I could easily do a brief language study abroad in French and pass the oral exam, I imagine. So for example, if I Capstone in May, I could probably complete my language study in the summer and pass the exam by the end of August.

Today I turned in my final assignment for my second summer class. I finished my other class with a perfect score(!!), and think I fared OK with this course too, although I have some fear that I’ll end up with an A- rather than an A. Not the end of the world, though!
I have a couple of weeks off before my FINAL term begins. And exactly four months from today I will be done with this master’s!

I never updated on #9. After screwing up and writing to the prof, everything was good as new. He basically said he wouldn’t have noticed had I not pointed it out, and didn’t penalize me for pointing it out. You can’t discount the mellowness factor of someone who’s lived in Berkeley for longer than I’ve been alive!
This summer I’ve been taking two classes. I finished one last week (10/14), and will finish the other by August 6. I’ll post when those are done! :)
