unpack my boxes and organize my new house

i just moved in my new house and i have nothing unpacked

We’re living in a tiny apartment while are new home is being built. Unfortunately the move to the tiny apartment took place in 2 days, the 2 days after my father’s funeral, and needless to say I just threw stuff in boxes and we moved FAST! Now I can’t find anything and I need to organize this stuff before the new house is done!!!

Boxes have been given away, recycled or stored away. Everything is not necessarily in its proper spot yet, but it feels really good to be unpacked. Now I can tell what needs to be given away and how much more storage space I need. Freecycle, Craigslist, and Ikea, here I come!

It’s unpacked now, but not necessary “tidy”.

it’s great to be in the new house…..and even better now that the boxes are gone!

I love the new house – buying it was so exciting and so fabulous. Now we are in the house…..but have boxes and stuff all around. We are having guests almost every weekend through July and August, so I need to get moving on the unpacking. Ive set up the kitchen, the garage, the dining room & the guest room…but need to finish the living room, the office, and our bedroom. Must hang art on the walls! So much to do – ugh!!!

Ok, most of the basement is unpacked. I still have a few boxes down there to deal with, some boxes in the sunroom and a few boxes in a crawl space.

Someday, it’ll all be done!

And I never have to see them again. The space behind my sofa is entirely empty! Woohoo!

Now to finish the upstairs.

I unpacked the last of the boxes of box last night, and completely organized one bookshelf. No much, but it’s forward motion.

Like my dear friend Lynne, I have moved and still have boxes. I need to get the last of them unpacked and put the things in them away. Most of the boxes are either in my basement or my sunroom. I’d like to use the sunroom soon, now that the weather is nice.

I think memorial day Monday will be an unpacking day.
