I think I have always done this, though for a while I had alot of orange juice, till my dietician told me to just have small glasses, and not drink it by the large bottleful.
I kept my glass apple and blackcurrant juice bottle from lunctime so I don’t have to drink out of plastic all the time at my desk at work. I’ve heard it’s not good for you.

But rather a cost/convenience thing. Water’s free (Very literally in my case, in Scotland the water bill is part of the council tax, and I’m council tax exempt because I’m a student) and doesn’t require any faffing of preparation. I didn’t even make a concerted effort to achieve this, it just happened.

I am taking this one day at a time. But, so far, I have begun to drink bottled water every day at work. Sometimes I add one of those little Crystal Lights to it. Hooray for me!

I haven’t had a soft drink (or soda, or Coke, or pop, or whatever they call it where you live) for five days. These have been my primary beverage for a long time now, and I’ve had a lot more water this week. If I keep this up for a month, I’ll call it done.

I stopped drinking soda and now take better care of my teeth & body. You know, if we weren’t introduced to soda in the first place, we wouldn’t be drinking it; unlike water – which we drink by instinct.
BTW, I get my filtered drinking water by the gallon from the local supermarket’s refill station (a Culligan’s or Glacier machine). It’s $0.39 per gallon before tax.

Having a tight budget certainly helps with this goal.

SOOOOOOO important! Very rewarding, I suppose… After I while, you stop missing soda and juice, etc. Plus, you save money at restaurants. Water is cheap!
