Ira wishes he had more time for 43things
It’s kinda silly. But it’s my first happy song, so it’ll have to do. It’s called “Cassie”. I’ve been trying to think of words that sort of rhyme with Cassie. (I can still add to the song! Any ideas welcome!)
Here is a verse I don’t think I’ll be using:
I think you love me
at least prima facie
would you wanna race me
until we’re crazy
I don’t even know if I’m using “prima facie” in the right way there! At one point Haile Gebrselassie was going to get involved too. Rhyming is fun.
As usual, the music sounds like I’ve stolen it from somewhere. But what’s new? I like it though. Though I’m reluctant to record it, as my recording environment or equipment hasn’t got any better, and my confidence in musical abilities right now is… not high. Maybe I’ll post the mp3 that I first mumbled the melody into, and post the lyrics, and you can put it together in your own head? It’d probably sound better that way. DIY music.
