pimp my bike

My dad bought this bike for himself before I was born, and I was always trying to ride in when I was too small and could most of the time. It became my bike when I was big enough for it, and has come to college with me. The bike is pretty problematic. The first step is to tune it up more than it already has been.

I want to paint the frame (masking off all the logos), the wheels, and recover the seat.

I also want to install lighting systems on it with rear flashers, lights on the wheels and glow in the dark details. A headlight would be nice too.

I was thinking a nice cobalt blue to go with the neon green logo, racks, and grips.

I want to reupholster the seat in neon vinyl.

It was more work than I thought it would be, but it’s so worth it. I love my purple pimped bike.
After sanding and cleaning it I was ready to spray it purple. I used two cans. It’s a really nice dark color. I used cold paint to add the flowers.

back tire has been replaced with a new tube and new rim tape.
