get out of London for the day and have an adventure

We had a great day out yesterday and walked 11.5km to the hillside town of Arundel. Beautiful weather and a superb Sunday lunch at the George & Dragon at Burpham.

Life has been busy lately so the Easter break has been welcome relief to the non-stop work/business/sleep routine. Until this weekend, a week has felt more like a day – flying past so quickly that I’ve just about had time to shove food down my mouth and take care of myself & the hub.

Today it slowed down for the first time. I had chance to enjoy Borough Market properly and read the paper from beginning to end. I also bought myself a few gorgeous products from Neal’s Yard so that I can wallow in potions tonight.

Tomorrow, we are planning to go out for the day and have a few ideas – maybe a walking route from our Rough Guide book, a trip to Rye or an amble around the gardens at Sissinghurst.
