make a second audition tape for my friend who got a callback for Project Runway!!!

Yesterday my boyfriend and I got up early and went out to Jersey to shoot my friend’s audition tape for Project Runway 4. They called her Saturday afternoon and gave her no time at all to get this project done—to get a tape to LA by 3pm Tuesday, you have to fedex it from NYC Monday morning. Most of our friends who have cameras couldn’t make it because of Easter. We left for Jersey by 10, shot until 4 and then finally finished the whole thing around midnight. When I say “we”, I really mean my boyfriend, who did all of the heavy lifting. I think the most important thing I did was buy him lunch…

I’m really hoping she gets in! I rarely see her—she has a pretty demanding career, and then she runs her own clothing line on the side… [crossing my fingers!]

My friend Stacy got a callback from the folks at Project Runway, so my boyfriend and I are heading out to Jersey today to shoot a short video for her! Her clothes are amazing—if I had all the money in the world, I’d have her dress me. They give the auditioners no time to do this assignment. She found out yesterday evening that she has to get a tape to them by 3pm Tuesday in LA, which means she has to FedEx something out Monday morning, and we only have today to shoot and edit something together… It’s going to be a looong night, but I’m really excited for her, and the bf [who is doing most of the heavy lifting] is really into it too.

If nothing else, it’ll be a cool piece to have for her site and the bf’s reel…
