Groovyflute joined today! I saw this newbie on Zeitgest just now, so I executed the four cheer-bomb hello.
How to find and cooperatively cheer-bomb 43T newbies
It made me
feel community 
"This is one of the more satisfying 43T goals I've worked on"
How I did it: Each day I looked for new members who shared my goals, or commented on the goals of others I subscribed to, or wrote new and interesting goals of their own. Being part of this goal's cheerbombing team made it a lot of fun, too.
I'll still be cheering newbies next year, but I'm counting this as completed after locating 43 newbies to cheer in 2008.
Lessons & tips: Apart from cheering the newcomers, don't forget to cheer the members who located them and brought them to our attention. Keep the cheers cycling!

Here’s a brand new 43Things member named gohiking. I saw his “How I Did It” entry on Zeitgeist just now, and then I took a look at his list. Well, looky here—I happened to have four cheers in the bank and promptly executed the newbie cheer-bomb.
