fake it until I make it

I was at the used bookstore today and stumbled across a childhood favorite: The Little Engine That Could by Watty Piper. Naturally, I had to buy it… it fits the “fake it until I make it” meme rather well, I think. Plus it has cute old timey drawings.

I’m a big believer in believing before achieving, and what better way to believe than to fake like you’ve already done it? At least this is what I keep telling myself. So, my plan here is to step up more in all areas of my life. I’m no spring chicken, and sometimes I simply am the oldest person in the room. It follows that I should know more. Or at least be capable of more. Or at least be courageous enough to “fake it until I make it.”
