capture honest emotion in photographs

I want to catch the emotion that is true…not the smile and pose picture. I like to see the true moment. It always seems to me that everyone wants the the big smile and staged look. That is alright for some things. To catch a true moment in time is what I am after. Like a photo of someone reading a book and doesn’t know they are getting their picture taken. Someone crying,laughing,talking,running,walking, or anything at all. I love those types of pictures of people.

It is hard to get those because they see the camera and have to make sure they smile or do a pose or whatever. I want it to be just you doing whatever at that moment in time. I will see the moment in my lens and pick the moment I want to capture not the made up one you posed for me.

Give me the true moment!!!

Pictures are the only memories I have left of somethings.

It took a while, but I finally realize that sometimes, I won’t capture exactly what I meant to capture in the picture, but I still end up getting exactly the shot I was supposed to at that point.

I’ve always loved photography, along with writing and riding horses, and sometimes it can be hard to capture exactly what I’m feeling in my pictures. I want to work harder on that.
