I just got a membership to the gym at work ($72 for 3 months!) in addition to the one close to home, so no excuses. My goal is to run at least one mile everyday. So far, two days back-to-back. This gym has yoga classes on Tuesday nights that I will start going to also. I plan to ask my college varsity tennis player roomie to start a weekly raquetball date, but dunno if she’ll have the time.

I totally hit up the Y this morning, what what?!
Haha I actually was mostly awake from back pains :/ but I made the choice to go.
It really wasn’t bad at all, I like swimming early like that, with all the old ladies :]
I did some research and several articles informed mwah that swimming doesn’t help you lose weight! That it just makes you consume more food!
But I have found myself being healthy all day, it just feels good exercising, it sets the tone for the day, ya know?
Plus, all the comments underneath were like, I’ve done this, and it does help you lose weight.
I’m hoping being able to get up this once will help me do it again.

I have a friend who is on the swim team at my Highschool, and I went by the Y when she was working (lifegaurd) and she led me through one of their workouts. It was hard work BUT just doing it made me feel like I was doing something worthwhile.
It’s common knowledge swimming and running (while completely diff) both get you into amazing shape.
My new goal, but still the same, is to hit the Y up in the mornings while my pal is working, and have her lead me through more swim routines! The toughest part will be getting up so early..
If I keep this up, hopefully I’ll drop the weight.
Good thing too, I’m up to a size fourteen, not fun.
TMI but I’ve found I want to eat less after I swim, it’s just not appealing.
Tomorrow morning is the first attempt, I’ll keep you updated :D

I will need to find out what will be cheaper/more efficient next year.
To become a member of the university gym on campus which will be convinient since i will be living on campus or to become a member of fitness first in the city, which is only a train away and would be good because it will have all the equipment i want, showers, lockers, tv, music, etc.
On campus gym would be very good because i culd go early in the morning or in the late afternoon. Im unsure of what facilities it has though and if the staff are trained somehow. I guess ill se next year. I dont remember it being very expensive for membership and if you are a member of the student guild its cheaper.
This is all providing i actually get into uni…fingers crossed.

So I’m a high school student and a part time worker, so that leaves some time, but little to hit the Y up.
I always motavate myself to go on Monday and Wednesday, my days off, but when it comes to Friday and Saturday (after work) I find myself slacking.
I really wish I could get up before my shower and school and go, but that’s really early and when I try I find myself choosing the lesser work.
I have a friend who’s a member but she rarely goes with me, and she would NEVER go so early.
This week I went three times, a good thing.
