Convert to Eastern Orthodoxy

Well earlier this Spring I helped with an Orthodox Sunday. I did some commentary for the sound crew who were unfamilar with the tradition. I being a former Catholic I had some limited knowledge. The experience was moving on a spiritual level. Wanting a church and more spiritual growth I am thinking of converting, but uncertain of how to go about it. The other question is which church or fellowship?

I have just began the process of conversion. It really is unknown territory.

I came into the Church at Pascha ‘05. Orthodoxy hits me right between the eyes. I pray I will have the strength to be faithful and true.

I was Chrismated yesterday (Pascha) :D

last night i was chrismated. this morning i will receive my first holy communion. good luck everyone with this goal! God be with you!

I just found out I’m going to be Chrismated on Lazarus Saturday. =)

It’s a confirmation of things I already knew. Chrismation at Pascha is likely a reality. I feel like when you’ve been on a long vacation, and you’re on the plane coming home, and you’re about three hours out from the airport still…. but you can’t wait to get home and see your dog and your best friend, and you just want the plane to land already, but you’re also really enjoying the view from the window….

i am a former heretic catholic. i wish to accept the orthodox faith…however im not sure what i should do – i feel like an intruder attempting to go to greek liturgy in my neighborhood…help me….remember 1453.

Had our second class today, and finished reading Timothy Ware’s “The Orthodox Church”. Next is “The Truth of our Faith” by Elder Cleopa.
