As a young petite girl, I spend much of my life in slight fear of rape, kidnapping, and other unpleasant life-threatening business. So, I would like to dispel that fear and know that I am prepared for the world by taking a self-defense class. I just need to find one, preferably a free one.

Proud is Thankful for her beautiful new daughter.
It was more about preventing being a crime victim than surviving an attack. I got a lot of valuable information and the book, “The Gift of Fear.” Very good. I think every woman should read it!
My full-time job prevents me from attending part two of this class, but I’m looking for one in the evening to go to.
I also went shooting with my husband at the range, and am now weighing whether or not I want to take the classes there, and get a permit to have a gun.
FunnySunny is behind bars. needs to get ready for work. (I'm supposed to be there is 38 minutes)
to know how to defend yourself. I took a course called RAD (Rape Agression Defense) which, I believe, can only be taught by police. It teaches women how not to be a rape victim. Number one thing…be aware of your surroundings. I cringe everytime I see a woman out running with ear phones on. You need your ears, people! Or talking on the phone while loading up the car. You need to know what is going on around you. 1 out of 4 women will be attacked violently in their lifetime. Don’t make it easy.
Adrienne will be absent while taking strides for goal #1.
I just took a self defense course that was not martial arts on May 11th. It is important not to take an art form self defense because the art forms don’t work when you are being attacked. They are moving too fast and honestly, not fighting fair.
I highly recommend this. I’m not a fearful person, but have had some 3 AM walks to my car after work, and now I feel better about actually reaching my car if someone were to attack me.
