I went to the American Library Association conference in Chicago last weekend. That’s the biggest U.S. library conference of the year—over 25,000 attendees. When Barak Obama spoke at the Opening Session, the first thing he did was look over the audience and say “that’s a lot of librarians!”

I just signed up for the MCDC Training Conference – 2005 to learn all about census data. In particular, I’ll be taking the workshops “Accessing Data on the Web” and “Introduction to GIS.”
