I used to keep a diary back in fifth grade; obviously the content was more mundane, but it was quite fascinating to pick it up later and recall things long forgotten. For a child, there were some startling insights in there, and it irritates me that I’ve missed recording the phase where I actually grew up and became who I am now.
I’m starting a new phase in my life, and I figured the best way to gain the most out of this experience is to journal it, so later I can read it if I wish to remember these days, or look back at the opinions I’ve held and compare them to what I think then.
If I manage to consistently write, everyday for a month, then I shall mark this ‘thing’ as done. That’s long enough for me to retain a habit. 19 months ago
