spookie is still keeping her head above water
Last week I got a call from a friend who I owed a favour. In February he drove me to the hospital when I was having an unshakeable asthma attack, and since it was pretty out of his way/late at night, I asked him to call the favour up when he saw fit. What he needed was an extra person to act as an Ambulance Steward for the St John Ambulance service vehicles involved in London Pride 2008, so today I was given a nice blue t-shirt and walked alongside my friend in his SJA car, waving and smiling at the crowd.
He took the opportunity of having me around all the St John’s people to tell me how wonderful LINKS (Uni SJA services) are and now I’m pretty convinced that I won’t just renew my certs when I’m up there, but I’ll join as well. I do need to find some volunteering to do while I’m away studying…
