I’m actually quite a nerd and i’ve decided to change that! I’m 14 years old and in January I intend to learn electric guitar! It’ll be difficult though…..

So I decided to tackle my biggest issue about not practicing my guitar enough – I’m afraid of damaging it. It’s autographed by my favorite musician so it has intense sentimental value to me and I do enjoy playing it, but I decided that should be my performance guitar. In the meantime? I needed something I can practice with.
So I went out and bought myself a guitar today, a used red Squier Affinity. It came with a soft shelf and Fender cable so I was pretty pleased with that, and it has a fantastic sound. I got it home this afternoon and immediately started practicing so I can already tell it’s the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
I’ve decided im not the hard rocker i thought i was, so I decided I was going to learn accoustic instead
Ive got a urge to play, but i haven’t got a E.G. or an amp and have no clue! thats about to change, soon i hope…

I got my guitar case, at long last. Now the guitar has a nice, snug place to live when I’m not using it. Not that I’ve had much chance to use it, but that’s about to change; I’ve set myself up with a practice space, which shall be ready for my use this Monday (two days from now). I’m looking forward to some serious practice!

I finally bought a 10 watt amp and cable yesterday. I’ve only been able to pick at the guitar every so often until now with the use of a small pocket amp I bought, which will be great for practicing but it made tuning really hard. Plus you just want to be able to jam and let the sound fill the room, you know?
I’ll be able to start practicing more and on a regular basis now that I’ve set some time aside every week to do so and I have the right equipment.
A hardshell case is on its way here as well via the mail too, so I’ll finally be able to put the guitar in a proper home instead of using the shipping box and foam it came in.
