Today! Took a lot of persuasion for my mum to give me permission.. and she still doesn’t like it but let me do it. I went to Camden, ‘Steel Cold’ and everything went pretty smooth! It was over before I knew it, it did hurt a tiny bit when the needle was going through though.. and now its been over 6 hours.. I’ve had ice lollies and ice water, a little bit of mashed potato and it’s all good.. swollen up a bit I think and I’m expecting the worst tomorrow! Lets hope it won’t be that bad. But I love my piercing! I feel like it’s not me who’s got it pierced, it’s like a dream..

Completely worth it. Done for 18th b-day; there’s nothing like a tongue piercing to subtlely say “I’m more wild than I look” every time you open your mouth

Did it yesterday, swollen and my diet is that of a babys but still worth it!

It, along with most of my other excess holes, is years gone. But maybe with a fine enough gauge bbq skewer I could reopen the hole.

Well the procedure itself is not that painful but it looks scary to have a needle pierce through your tongue. The aftercare is the one that raises problems and now I will have to get over the healing process and relearn how to talk right, eat right and just enjoy my piercing.

If you are ok with some days of slight discomfort that you won’t regret this.

I got my tongue pierced about two years ago, It didn’t hurt. But you can’t have dairy products, ice cream, milk, yogurt, stuff like that because you can get a yeast infection in your mouth!!! So watch out for that. I have my lip pierced too, that hurt worse than my tongue, but some people say its the other way around. So it just depends, I say it’s worth doing, and good luck!

I just got my tongue pierced, earlier, today (I’m 14), I love it! I got it done, at Bristol Tattoo Parlor, where I get all my piercings; I suggest you go there. It cost me 40 dollars (bargain!). The guy used a sterile needle, out of a package, and he was wearing gloves. He gave me a napkin, in case I drooled (which i didn’t), and he just put the needle through my tongue. It ain’t hurt. But, as soon as he put the barbell in, and screwed the ball on, I had to swallow all this spit. And later-on, it started getting sore, and my throat started getting sore (it’s sore, now). And my mouth is producing all this extra saliva, so I have to swallow, more. And it’s not swelling. Just take care, of it! Wash it, with non-alcohol mouthwash, after eating/drinking anything, but water, and/or ice. No open-mouth kissing, or oral sex, until it heals. And don’t put your hands, in mouth, unless you’ve antibacterialized it, and just to tighten balls. Tighten balls every night, before you go to sleep, so you won’t swallow anything you shouldn’t! After it’s healed, replace the long bar, with the shorter one, and just enjoy it!

Don’t worry it doesn’t hurt, it’s worth it!
