SO, this year, I’ve read “unbearable light”, and “Egypt is not my mother, she is my stop mother”. And now I’m reading “Veronica Decides to die”, very interesting book actually.
But that means only 3 books in 2008…:(( SO BAADDD

Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman’s Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia BY Elizabeth Gilbert

SOO good. i now feel like travelling to italy to find pleasure (mostly in food), to india to find my spiritual self, and then to indonesia to find a balanced life and hopefully a hot brazilian lover.

i am failing in this “thing”. I am so tired after work that can´t find the moment to take a book and not fall asleep right away. I need to do something about that…

    Worth doing!

I think that I have read (at least) a couple of books each month since I was able to read. Worth it!

This month I read The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Ballroom Dancing. It is one of the most boring books I have ever read. This book just doesn’t convey how exciting ballroom dancing is.

If you are interested in ballroom dancing then you should try it out for real instead of reading this or any other book on the subject.

Another book  — 1 month ago

I bought a new book, last Month. It’s a new book here in Egypt, it’s called “Egypt is not my mother, she is my step-mother”. It’s a collection of sarcastic articles that has been written in “The today Egyptian” daily newspaper in the past 2 years. It’s very funny, and yet, I almost cried in some parts. It’s a very nice book, but it’s in Arabic, and probably only interesting to Egyptians, like me :)

I read an incredibly interesting book called Thinkertoys this month. It is all about how to be more creative. The techniques in the book really do work. I think that I have become a more creative person after reading it. A lot of the methods are similar but put in a different way. It is worth reading the whole thing because you get a sort of creative intuition where you don’t even need the book anymore. I am very glad that I read it.

The "watch less TV" thing should help  — 2 months ago

I have always loved to read. But lately I have found less and less time for it. So for now I would like to finish the two books I am in the middle of reading. One this month, one next month.

For May I will finish Eat,Pray,Love. A bit cheeseball, I know. But it is fitting with my “make-over” mood.

In June, A Hundred Years of Solidude. Sounds dense, but has actaully been a great story, I think it will be good pool-side reading.
