It’s a crazy thing to willingly fling yourself off a high place. But oh-so fun to do.

So our plans for Jasper may possibly just NOT work out :( We need room for four bags of clothes, two coolers, two tents, four sleeping bags and four mattresses and there is no way my car is big enough. If we want to go we’ll have to take a truck / suv. The problem is FINDING a truck / suv haha.

So the plan is for sure!! Brian, Casey, Melody and I are going to Jasper for three days in August. We’re going to be camping, and we get one full day to go swimming and stuff like that. HOPEFULLY THAT WILL INCLUDE CLIFF JUMPING WOOo!

Brian and I were talking about taking a weekend trip up to Jasper with Melody and one of Brian’s friends. I WOULD BE ABLE TO CLIFF JUMP THEN AND IT WOULD BE AWESOME.

Even though my friends and I are all seeming to work full-time shifts, I’m still determined to do this! I’m hoping for a weekend trip sometime maybe in August. I LOVE Jasper.

This weekend I went to Jasper. We visited Horseshoe Lake, and it reminded me of all the cliff jumping I used to watch there. I officially decided I’m going to do it too. Hopefully this summer.
Scariest thing I’ve ever done. Ever. But now I can brag about it and seem braver than I really am.
I did it once in Greece, but I want to do it again. Every time my friends did it this summer in Jackson (which was a lot), I had to work. It was quite unfortunate.

I found out on my rafting trip that we would have the chance to jump off a 25 foot cliff into the Ottawa river! I didn’t think I was going to do it as we paddled towards the cliff (being a weak swimmer, and worried about the current taking me away into never-never land), but after watching a few people jump, I decided to do it! As I stepped up to the edge and looked down (bad idea), I hesitated briefly…and then took the plunge. As my friend very correctly put it, “the “oh shit” moment came half way down when I hadn’t hit the water yet”. I was proud of myself for doing it, and would do it again…maybe at a greater height next time??
