it is of great help to organise my life towards achieving my goals
i know it may sound weird but i feel different (better)!!!
How I did it: Did my research, then went to the AT&T store and bought the Treo. It was OK but had to do a lot of tweaking to make it do what I wanted. I then had an AT&T 8525 but that was too bulky. Got a Blackjack II and upgraded to Windows Mobile 6 as soon as I could. This is the phone that I use to get me through my day.
I'm not very organized by nature, and I wanted to use my phone to get better at it. On my PDA phones, I have always entered my appointments with an alarm, and I don't miss appointments anymore. Some people would find the reminders annoying, but I don't. Those reminders keep me honest.
Lessons & tips: If you are not in a hurry, you can sometimes buy an unlocked version of the phone on eBay without having to get locked into a contract with your cell phone provider.

i had a dream where i bought a pda for 93 dollars. when i woke up i wanted one but only if it was 93 dollars. i managed to find one for 100 dollars and i decided to buy it anyway. picking it up tmr.
this is a great tool, my problem is that I really didnt need it. so, I didnt use it as much as I should have. However, this is great for keeping track of things…
Nope. I gave it a rest and woke up this morning knowing that a Blackberry or a Trio or whatever is not in my future. At least not my immediate future. There are just too many other items ahead of it that cost money. I may get a new cell phone when the time on my current plan runs out in September. And for now I’ll stick to good old-fashioned paper for scheduling and memos and handheld calculators for math.
The question posed on the 43T homepage is “What do you want to do with your life?” Do I really count this among the 43 Things? It would be nice to have a PDA, sure. And I’d get a lot of use out of it. But there are so many other priorities ahead of it. I’d like to win one maybe, not buy one. Now that I’ve kinda got a WiFi-enabled laptop, this goal is slipping fast. Anybody want to talk me out of it or into it? I’m open to suggestions.
i’d like to get a tungsten TX with some accessories included, but i’ve been surfing and didn’t find anyone REALLY used it and wrote a review. i don’t really understand PDAs so technical reviews kinda not get to me.
i recently want a PDA for companion in travel and writing thesis/ data collecting. anyone have used tungsten TX and can review it? PLZ..
I’ve read a lot of negative comments about this goal by people who’ve done it. There are many pros and quite a few cons. Chief among my considerations will be compatibility. Whatever I get has to interface with the most common computer programs I use. I’m not sure about phone functions and network plans, either. Hate to get tied into anything I can’t easily get out of. I had one of the original Palm Pilots back in the day. Accidentally left it in a taxi in New York Cityand never replaced it. Still feel foolish about that. Wouldn’t want to invest time/money in another and lose it. This is probably the one Thing out of my first 43 I am most likely to give up on. It is not a high priority at all.
