Find a cure for diabetes

My dad has Diabetes and he’s not dong so good. Ever since I was little I promised him I would cure it when I got older and so that’s what I’m going to college for. I remember sometimes mom would go to work when I was about five or so and dad would have an insulin attack and I would be alone with him and scared I wouldn’t know what to do. I love him alot and I don’t wan’t to see him suffer anymore.

I really want to find a cure for Diabetes because my older sister has type 1 diabetes and is having other problems because of it. I want to find a cure for it so that she can live a normal life like her friends and so that she won’t be miserable. When she was 5 years old, she went into a coma because of diabetes and almost didn’t come out of it. She needs to be free of diabetes so that she will be happy.

Yep, it is the real thing, with insulin shots and a special diet too. My mom takes good care of me and she even participates in the Ron Santo Walk for a cure for juvenile diabetes. I know, I know, I am not a juvenile, just a cat, but she walks in memory of Paul, her son, who was my original owner. She kept me cause Paul loved me alot. I didn’t warm up to her right away, I missed Paul so much. She was patient and waited for me to accept her, and I have now.

Ironic for her though, first Paul, then me. I was lucky she recognized the symptoms and so far I am doing fine.
