learn mongolian

I really want to learn Mongolian. I love learning languages and I love challenges. Mongolian seems to be one of the most challenging languages to learn, not just because of its grand differences from English (my native language), but also because of the lack of resources found for most other languages. Hopefully this will help me out! =)

I would like to be able to speak fluent Mongolian. For a few reasons:
1. Because I have never learnt to speak any other language than English
2. I saw the movie mongol today and it was awesome!
3. It would be super cool to talk secretly if a friend learnt it too

Ok now first step is to find out what is the best way to learn. Any ideas?

I have always wanted to learn this langauge, just can’t find the time to study.

I went to Mongolia 4 years ago and i made alot of friends and now i plan to go back soon. It is the most beautiful language i know.

I started to learn Mongolian about two week ago and the academic book I bought really bored me to death. This site I recently found is helping me a ton with the pronunciation of Mongolian. Pretty cool..

I’m doing Chinese and German right now, and there’s a ton of languages I’d like to learn. I’ve never been to mongolia but it sounds like it’d be a pretty cool language to learn. They actually have a couple courses at my university, so I might try it out and see what its like. I’m trying to work in international relations and knowledge of languages, especially uncommon ones can make me look a lot better to potential employers.

I love weird languages and when I was in Mongolia, it gave me a spark. I really want to learn a language that not everyone can speak. I think Mongolian would be a strange enough language.
