watch the godfather trilogy

I watched them at Emilia’s place, with the sweet little sister and Juho. The first one was interesting, the second one was pretty long and less interesting. It was a good experience.

Now I wonder if I do want to watch the third movie, I’m not sure yet. Maybe if I get the chance, we’ll see. Though I watched a lot of movies recently, I think I have my quota for the rest of the year.

And my brother keeps telling me it lacks a lot to my culture. I don’t like watching movies a lot, I watch an average of around 5 or 6 movies per year, but I always wanted to watch the Godfather trilogy because I’m fascinated by gangsters stories. And the 30’s is my favourite period of the XXe century.

I’ll have to see if I can rent the movies at the videoclub. And while I’m there, maybe I can buy some “nerds” to bring with me in Finland for Emilia. :P

I just need to see the third movie to complete this goal.

I like it

it’s the best movie ever, so beautiful in its content

i finally did it, watched the entire trilogy.
i bought all 3 movies, sat on my couch and watched them.

i fell asleep through most of part 3, so i had to rewind and watch it over again. i spent 14 some hours on the couch.

i’ll probably never watch them again, but part 2 was definately my favorite.

If you’re attempting to accomplish this goal, beware: each DVD in the series is about 3 hours. These are marathon films.

Despite the length, the first and second Godfather movies are spectacular. These became instant classics for me – the acting is really great.

However, I didn’t like the third one much because it was rather hard to follow. I found myself getting the characters confused, with all the people getting wacked. I also didn’t understand the whole business deal they had with the Vatican.

Two and three were not so awesome.
