It made me smile too.

“I only believe in physical death. My loved ones still exist. They are just on a different level of consciousness. For me, there’s nothing to be sad about except missing doing things with that person.”
My dad died he was just 58. I had been married for a short period when it happened. I had quit my job to help my husband set up his business and we were struggling financially. I know my dad was deeply worried about that. Soon after my dad died, we started doing well. I remember breaking down at a friend’s place (she was more a friend of my mum’s) one night when she commented about how well we were doing. I told her that my dad would have been so happy to know that we came through. He died worried about me. She said, “Who says he does not know? He is aware. Perhaps he even blessed it from wherever his soul is.” This was a turning point for me in dealing with the grief.
Reading this by Ms Kitty brought back that memory. It is a very powerful and loving consolation in dealing with loss of a loved one.
In response to a random question “What part of the male/female body do you find most sensuous? Why?”
I’m a brain-man. Beauty can quickly be forgotten in the face of stupid…..I also love the honest language of laughlines.

Today is a day where I have found gratefulness in the crappiness that was my day :)
- I was running late to a meeting this morning, but I was grateful that the person I was meeting was even later than I was, so I did not make a bad impression.
- I spilled coffee on my pants. But I am grateful that my pants were brown, so it blended in.
- I left my work badge at home, so I couldn’t use the covered parking. It was raining, but I was grateful I had my umbrella (even though it kept turning inside out, I was mostly dry).
- I am grateful that I didn’t run out of gas on the way home; my tank was very very low but I was in a hurry (again) and didn’t want to stop. I’ll have to remember to get it first thing tomorrow morning.
- I am grateful that I have a good sense of humor and don’t sweat the small stuff, and was still smiling throughout the day :)
