got a map from the community center of the local walking trails here in my neighborhood. Went exploring yesterday. Really great paths! The trillium are blooming, and made me smile to see their perky faces carpeting the forest floor :) 1 month ago

I’ve hiked 4 times this November!
Stonewall Peak (near Julian), Iron Mountain (Poway area), and two hikes in the Kearney Mesa and Clairmont areas. I feel so great when I hike!!! Good company, great workouts, and always an adventure. The hike in Clairmont was by the freeway (kind of looked like a place where dead bodies would turn up) though the scenic hike at Stonewall Peak and all the deer we saw made up for it!!! 5 months ago

Spring is here in Vancouver! The grass is a vivid green and the cherry trees are in full bloom. Now if it would only stop RAINING!
I am hoping to get out for regular hikes in Vancouver and surrounding area. There is a website called “Vancouver Trails” that lists a bunch of hiking trails in the area. My goal is to hike all them… I think there’s about 75. My partner will join me for some of them, but I’m hoping to find a fun hiking buddy who wants to get in shape. After I complete these hikes, I will tackle the Juan de Fuca and West Coast Trail.
