How I did it: Ok so you can't learn pilates in just 13 weeks, but I've learn a lot and now feel I can do it at home if I want to.I took a course at work in my lunch brake. I really like it as you can push your self as much as you feel you can. Not convinced it moved my tummy, but i don't think it hurt at all (but I did ache some!). Read how I did it…
How I did it: I found a great pilates studio walking distance from my apartment. For the first little while, I went with a friend but she eventually dropped out (the studio was much further from her place). I bought monthly unlimited packages which meant that the more often I went, the less I paid for each class. I stuck with the classes and instructors I liked and avoided the ones I didn't. Went to my first pilates class last week – blimey! I can definitely benefit from this! I didn’t really know if i was doing anything right … didn’t think i managed to “engage” all the core muscles i was meant to but instructor assured me that it would all happen in time if i keep attendng the classes.
I’ve booked up for the beginners course so i’ll go regularly. Next session in a few days, we’ll see how it goes …

Well I’ve been really enjoying the 5 week course – I can’t beleive how chilled out I was yesterday after the class, considering how stressful my day was.
So I’ve signed up for the 8 week summer course. I hope I can learn enough that I can start doing it every day at home. :)

I’ve just joined a 5 week class at work. If I like I might join the 8 week course over the summer. Have to see how it goes, I’m looking forward to giving it a go.

i have decided to buy this pilates book and learn the moves myself since i had pilates classes before, im pretty familiar with some of the steps..
and get an exercise mat so that i can do pilates at home whenever i want instead of joining a class which i often missed n still hv to pay for it!
i shall start this in June after i move in my new place.

I went to my first class yesterday. Oof. It’s working muscles that clearly needed work for some time.
