I started clarinet in 4th grade and was put straight in advanced band because I was pretty good. I played until 8th grade and was in marching band and made 2nd chair for middle school. I even had my own wooden clarinet. But at the time I hated it because the case was so old. I quit playing because of the pressures of being “cool” in high school. I sold my clarinet when i was 18 for a lousy 60 bucks and I miss it. :( I’m 23 now havent played in 10 years. I just bought a black resin/plastic clarinet and will be getting lessons once again from my middle school music teacher :)
I forgot how to breath right, keep time, and some sharp and flat notes but I’m hopeful to be as good as I was or even better.
I’ll be the oldest kid at the middle school and probably the only one covered in tattoos hahah
I’ve been playing for 5 years, lost intrest, then regained it. I have always aspired of being a pro clarinet player too.
ihave been playing clarinet for 2 years and i have been thinking about changing my main instrument to trumpet and play clarinet often to but I am afraid that i will start to like trumpet more than clarinet. I wanted to swithch because my band director Mr.Toppass, farnsley middle school, louisville, kentucky, usa only picks songs that don`that clarinets don`t hame the melody t . The only people that have melodies are percyssion which is common sensebecause yo hear them in the vackground and all brass.
I’ve been playing the clarinet for 3 years now and just joined the marching band of my high school. I guess I’ve never really tried that hard but that’s soon to change because I’ve seen how much progress I’ve made in just a month in the harsh world that is marching band.. haha hopefully I can continue playing clarinet in college. then join a famous wind ensemble or maybe even an orchestra! :) I hope to be a super famous professional player.. maybe you’ll see me in the commercials one day promoting the education of music :P
