Spend a whole day at a spa to get pampered sometime before 2007 ends as a gift to myself.

Went with a good friend and we had fun catching up and sharing the latest on everything that’s current in our respective lives.

We both had an aromatherapy massage. The food wasn’t that great but it’s alright. Spent time in the jacuzzi until we were both light-headed. The steam room was under repair. Tried the sauna but we couldn’t stand it for too long.

Ended the day with a stint of shopping. But by then we were both sore and aching all over. Apparently, it’s quite normal for one to experience lethargy, tiredness and aching muscles after a massage/spa experience. So I’ve been told.

Took me almost 3 days to recover from this. Despite the fun we had spending time just hanging out at the spa, the recovery was no joke. Now I’m not so sure if I want to repeat this experience. :p

..for Monday, 31st Dec. Am going with a friend to celebrate her resignation – off to greener pastures.. :)

We’re gonna do the whole sauna shabang.. sauna, jacuzzi, steam room, endless eating and drinking.. and of course the massage too. Gonna try a shiatsu massage, had the aromatherapy once quite often already. Hope it’ll be a nice one, not something that’ll leave me in pain days after.

For once, I can’t wait for Monday! ;)

..since my recent car issues wiped out my funds for frivolous spending!

Holiday Inn Glenmarie.

They happen to be just right down the corner near my office. I checked out the place about a month ago. They have lounge area where one could sit, chat, watch some TV either before or after the massage sessions. I recall checking out the price, it wasn’t too expensive. But best of all, they serve Haagen Dazs ice-cream too!
