read "the odyssey" by homer

Such a great book. One of my favorites in fact!

I’ve noticed that this is already on my list (“read Ulysses”), so I deleted it.

The final parts of the books are extremely gruesome. I enjoyed the insight into the ancient greek culture.

Was a good read.

There’s so many references to this work in our modern, daily life. You’ll see severeal allusions in movies, art, literature, music, etc. Without having read this, the insight gained from the knowing the origin of the inspired works is lost. It’s themes, subjects, and plots you’ll see repeated time and time again and it will help your understanding of those to have read the work

I’m on chapter 2 (or book 2). I think I’m going to enjoy this one a lot.

I disliked it because of how my literature teacher felt she had to shove the book down our throats.

Not literally, of course.
