wear a cape sometimes

I’ve become a World of Warcraft addict and so I daily spend hours virtually wearing a cape. Well, a cloak or something, same thing. It’s for armor, not really for fun, but it’s a cape and I’m wearing it, so mission accomplished. And yes, I recommend this to others if it’s going to keep you from being eaten by orcs and such. :)

I could make one with big letters that say “It’s my friggin’ birthday!” I already have a birthday crown. (Not a tiara – they’re overused.) Could use a wand. Or maybe I’ll just go around El Kabong-ing people with an empty plastic 2-liter bottle.

(Does everyone in the world know who El Kabong is, or should I clarify? He’s this cartoon horse that was always smashing his guitar over the villains’ heads.)

Little kids can wear a cape anywhere they go and feel no shame, and my parents wouldn’t allow that kind of silliness, so dang it, I want to wear a cape now that the only person whose opinion I have to worry about is my husband’s. (Fortunately, he’s a complete loony so he’ll probably want a cape of his own.)
