be a witness to a Las Vegas wedding

I e-mailed a few Vegas wedding venues to ask me if there would be a chance that I would be able to be the witness at a wedding where the couple have not brought their own witnesses.

I have either had no reply or they have been to thick / ignorant / impatient / busy to actually read my e-mail and see that I AM NOT ASKING TO GET MARRIED THERE!!!! The ones who have replied have just replied telling me that they’d love to host my wedding and they will provide witnesses for me if I do not have any. If they’d taken the time to READ MY E-MAIL they would actually see that I very clearly state that I DO NOT desire to get married, I just want to be a WITNESS at someone else’s marriage.

Och, you just can’t win against people who are not interested to know exactly what’s going on.

I was on a Contiki trip and a couple on our trip said…”Why not?!” and the rest is history, I guess.

I wonder if they are still together.

I’m going to Vegas later on this year for my 30th birthday. I definitely do not want to get married myself while there but I would love to be part of a Vegas wedding, preferrably an ‘all-out’ Vegas wedding with trashy decor, Elvis impersonators and funky wedding outfits. Or that drive through one where people get married on their motorbikes and everything!

Will have to make some calls to chapels when I arrive in Vegas and get my name known and let them know that I am keen to be an official witness for a wedding if anyone is looking for witnesses.
