I thought this would take a lot of time, but it really didn’t. Definitely worth it, because it looks really cool and doesn’t require a lot of time or money (two things I can’t afford to waste).
How I did it:
1. Googled the web for instructions
2. Assembled materials:
Lessons & tips: Practice makes perfect. My first effort looked pretty rough.
I now also realise there is an huge ductape underground out there.

I made a relatively simple one with silver tape, and it came out awesome. I just kinda improvised, but it worked out fine. I want to make more in different colors, do different kind of pockets and such, and maybe find a way to fasten it shut, because it’s kind of bulky just folded in half the way it is. It was really fun, though, definitely worth doing. Now I want to get creative with it. It’s a great way to make something so everyday and typical as a wallet seem interesting.

I read a magazine article that diagramed how to make a duck tape wallet, and who would pass up that kind of indispensible knowledge up?
I kept it for a long time, but then it started pulling apart and my money began sticking to it…
I still have it my desk drawer.

great ideea with this, one of the many things i never thought about (making my own wallet) especially out of duct tape, pretty much all wallets on the market are too big, too small, bad material, some crappy logo, too many pockets etc. there are some decent ones i might say but for a “decent” price. having some fun while crafting it, or just freak out or whatever adds more personality to it.
i dunno if i`ll find the tape u people are using, i`ll look into it, worth doing of course, great ideea
thanks!
i made my wallet out of black gaffer and used yellow and green electrical tape to put over the tops of the credit card holders so i could see where the pockets were and to cover up any sticky bits left so the cards didn’t stick in. it took me about 45 mins and less than 1/4 of a roll of gaffer.

i must have made almost a dozen duct-tape wallets at this point. they’re so much fun to make, and they’re even better when you start getting creative with them.
i’ve also made a duct-tape stud belt and a duct-tape messenger bag, both of which were AWESOME and i wish i hadn’t so stupidly made for someone else. i keep thinking about making more and selling them, but i just haven’t found the time yet.

I successfully made a duct tape wallet! It’s totally groovy. It’s hot pink and it’s got little black hearts on it. It’s got pockets and stuff too. It isn’t perfect, but I adore it because I made it and it’s completely my own.

I’ve made a duct tape disposable camera case, duct tape purse, pouch for mom’s recipes and I made one for a friend of mine, for his camera/camcorder. Love duct tape !

I’ve been making them for years. I have an inner tube change purse, but my duct tape wallet is made then tossed away so I can create a new one. I’ve made one or two for friends as gifts. I love duct tape crafts.
