I meet with the head of my internship on Friday, I can’t wait to figure out my hours and get started. Another goal finally accomplished.

Waiting to be Brillant is back into it
THis is not the right time to apply for an internship as i dont have the passion for the subject yet. Maybe some other stage
joie de vivre is feeling better
The first one was at the end of my senior year of college. I knew that this guy I knew, Earl, had been working at the local Neighborhood Housing Services. I ran into him one day, and asked how it was going. He said he had quit two weeks ago. Oh really? I ran down to their office and asked if they needed someone to take his place. They sure did. I worked for that NHS until the grant under which I was hired ran out. After doing other things for a couple years, I came back to that NHS and was hired into a professional full-time position.
When I left that job at that NHS, when I went off to grad school at Cornell, I asked the NHS there if they needed someone experienced. Armed with my glowing letter of recommendation, they hired me on a half-time basis. This wasn’t, I guess, officially an “internship” like the job I had at the other NHS. But it was good professional experience. This part-time job, coupled with my fellowship, meant that I didn’t have to borrow any money to attend grad school, and bolstered my resume for when I finished my advanced degree.
