Yesterday my little Lady & I made crepes for brunch. She was all about helping out until the first one was done and then, of course, she was done cooking—now it was time for her to eat! :P

... my two Babies baked homemade bread the night before last. It was too yummy! There is nothing like the smell of bread rising and baking in the house, I gotta say. :) My boyfriend ONLY eats homemade bread that he bakes, so we’re lucky enough to eat it all of the time. My little Lady was quite impressed with herself, and as you can see, she got into it fully—baker garb and all.
I have been REALLY getting into experimenting with making my own homemade sauces off the cuff. It gives us nice variety, too. Everything is new & exciting in a sauce we’ve never had before! :)
We bake gingerbread cookies for Santa every Christmas. This year we used a new recipe and it blew the old one to smithereens! There wasn’t a lot of snap, but they were sooo yummy. We said we were going to make enough for Santa and the elves he brought with him on his journey, but I think we made enough for the whole North Pole.
My boyfriend is by far and wide the best cook. He has become my personal chef. :) He makes the most delish French cuisine! What is so wonderful about his cooking is that he teaches me (and my little girl) everything he makes. I have learned how to prepare so many stupendous meals! And what is best about it is that we listen to such grrreat jazz while we’re working. It isn’t cooking… It is an art of sharing time and doing together. Oh, and the crepes are ceaseless… Mmm!
I bake at least once a week. Homemade sweets and breads are fun experiments and they’re great to share with others.
