I have been trying to gain weight for over 7 years, but i keep giving up as it is so hard. I’m stick skinny and it’s always felt very unhealthy.
So now I’ll start again! I guess my problem is a lack of motivation..after I’ve gained 2-3kgs, I end up loosing it in the next few days because I don’t keep up with my diet, and food seems to be so expensive too
Tomorrow I’ll go grocery shopping to buy some protein, I don’t really know what to eat tbh..every time I try to gain weight I eat proteins like lamb, chicken, egg, or cheese, pasta..but these fill me up very quickly so I don’t get hungry often. My doctor recommended I drink beer to increase my appetite!! I think I will end up getting a beer belly instead of gaining weight
well wish me luck, this is day 1

For many years I have been struggling to gain weight. I remained just skinny, no matter even if I ate more. Apparently, my metabolism is very high. And I did have unhealthy eating habits.
However, 6 months ago I made it a point to join the gym and eat a lot. And not just anything, but nutritiously balanced and protein rich food. I did not gain much muscle, but I did gain ten kilos and got closer to my initial BMI goal, which was 15 kg.
Then I got vacation and went on travelling. Lost touch with exercise. Unfortunately, I had stopped going to the gym coz I got too busy with studies and exams. Now I feel bad about the gap. Not to mention, I lost some weight again. :(
But now I have started the gym again. I hope to get back on track and gain weight and reach a healthy BMI soon.

i weighed 5 stone at my lowest . i learnt to eat properly and it took 6 months but I now weigh 7 stone and am at a more realistic weight. I did it by eating a balanced diet and regular exercise.
I did think you could gain weight by just eating junk food but by doing that there is a risk of diabetes and other diseases and they aren’t good. JUST EAT HEALTHY!!!

I am a girl. I’m 5’1 and I weight 89 lbs, and my BMI is 17 which means I am underweight. My thighs are scrawny, my shoulders are broad and my arms are super skinny and I have muscles that show, my neck is long, you can see my collarbone sticking out, I don’t have curves, my hips are barely noticable and whenever you see me in a two-piece bikini, you can easily see my ribs. So, as you can see, I am not a fan of my body.
What my goal is, is that I can gain enough weight to hide all those bones sticking out, and enough so that I can have curves. And I NEED this done before August 31, 2009. I have a very very very fast metabolism so it is hard for me to gain weight just by eating. So, I’m eating more than what I usually eat.
I am also trying to eat right before I go to sleep because I heard that your food digestes more slowly while you are sleeping. Then we’ll see the outcome. Wish me lots and lots of luck!

So I attempted to cook rice today – absolute disaster. :(
I never knew cooking rice was so complicated! I put it in a pot, added water and then let it boil. When It looked good I tried tasting it, still hard. So I cooked it for longer, still hard. I put a lid on the pot and took it off every now and then and the rice turned into some weird mushy substance, while the bottom of the pot got a hard layer of ricer crust or something.. So yeah. No breakfast today! :(

... that I’m underweight, by a whopping 20Kg! I knew I was skinny for my height and I wasn’t the healthiest bloke on the planet but 20Kg? Get out! I guess I’m going to have to start doing what normal people do and eat some food. I’ll keep this updated since that seems to help me stick to my goals. :)
