Just in the last month I have gained 10lbs. I now stand a solid 160lbs at 5’8”. At the beginning of summer I weighed 131lbs.
Things to do to keep this weight gain up:
-eat lots of food with lots of protein.
-continue lifting weights.

hmm it seems like i’ve beentrying to do this for a while..i eat and i eat, but i’m still skinny.blessing or curse i sometimes wonder.haha. and i excercise.well i’ve always been a runner, but i’m going to try and add more weight training/resistance work.wish me lluck!

I am currently 40, and I have been the same height and weight since graduating from high school. People often refer to me as skinny in my presence and don’t think anything of it because I believe they feel it is a compliment. I’ve never liked being “skinny” but lacked the ambition to do anything about it until now.
Facing my 40’s and what comes with it (weight gain in the wrong places) and also being single, its going to be increasingly difficult on my self-image and social situation if I don’t take the reins.
I do count myself fortunate in that I do not have a great deal of weight to lose PLUS build muscle, so my goal should be easier than it otherwise could be. It will be a challenge and require work nonetheless. It is going to require time and effort to improve my eating habits, quality of my diet, and to work out regularly.
I am 6’1” and weigh between 145 and 150 lbs.
My intent is to begin by following the stronglifts.com 5×5 program and begin changing my diet according to the recommendations there.

I haven’t been doing very well trying to gain weight since school started! It’s not on purpose, I just don’t eat as much when I constantly GO-GO-GO like I have been. I go to school, do shitloads of homework, go out with friends, hold a part-time job… eating is the least of my priorities.
And I eat less because I have less moolah! It’s sort of a blessing though, because when I had money to blow it’d be fast food EVERY DAY sometimes twice a day! At least I’ve cut back drastically on that, but I’m not sure if what I’m doing now is much better, since I’m eating so much less. But it doesn’t seem like I’m losing or gaining, I’m just kind of stuck. :(

I turn 20 in a little over a month and my birthday present to my self is hopefully 5 pound. I’m in college and all my good friends from high school are a state away and we are meeting up on my birthday weekend. It would be one of the greatest things for me to show up a little bit bigger. :)I’ll write back on my Birthday October 17. When I’ll be 20 and I’ll hopefully have a 20 years old body.
