"Confidence is always the first step, if you don't ask you don't get"
How I did it:
- I fell in love with a girl, Jane, who is 4 years older than me
- I got to know her, I already knew her brother, started talking and eventually hanging out with her
- I got confident around her, started making her laugh and started meeting up much more
- She started hugging me and we grew closer
- I asked her on a date and she accepted
- The date was successful and she wanted to kiss, we kissed and our love grew
- I asked her out and she accepted, we began a relationship
- We started kissing a lot and slept together
- The love soared and we are now saving up to buy our own place
Lessons & tips:
- Simply pluck up the courage and ask
- Act yourself and play it cool, don't act cocky or over confident
- At the start of the relationship be cautious and don't over do it
- Don't rush into things, take it as it comes
- Don't mention sleeping together until she is ready
- Make her laugh and make her feel safe around you
- Be as cool as a cucumber, don't worry and be patient
- Don't push her, let her make her own decisions
- Don't lie to her about yourself and be yourself
- Better to be truthful then you won't be caught out
- Don't smoke around her if she is a none smoker, find out whether she smokes before doing so yourself, if she does smoke always offer her one
- Don't let her pay for anything, treat her to a drink or take her out for a meal
- Don't be silly or stupid
- Don't show off
- Don't do too much talking, but be there to listen to what she has to say
- Always smile
- Only move things forward if you think she's ready
- Don't swear in front of her
- Always make sure you're clean and smelling nice
- Don't shout around her
