I want it to be in Wisconsin, preferably in northern Wisconsin. Is anybody out there? My husband and I are in our 40s and very early 50s.

On Saturday I finally attended that long-anticipated public slide show/discussion of some of the main ecovillages and their respective pros and cons at the LA ecovillage. Yes, LA has an urban ecovillage and it’s beautiful. The people are beautiful souls, the place is well-kept, and the communal garden is quite impressive. You can get a tour of that place and meet some of the villagers if you’d like. There are good things and bad things about living there, of course; it’s certainly not a living arrangement for everyone. A smart funny lady named Diane Leafe Christian was giving the talk and the house was standing-room only! The experience lasted till 11 pm, with questions at the end. We learned about many of the different ecovillages in the US as well as some abroad and it was quite enlightening.
