I’ve decided I’m not going to have a gap year, so I’m going to take this off my goal list. I still really really want to do it, but I can’t actually see myself doing it until I am retired! Lol. Or until I’m 25ish. 5 years ago

We had a conference at school yesterday about gap years and I REALLY want to do a project in the summer before uni, after A levels, and not have a year out. Ideally I would go to Africa and teach kids in school, and then go to Borneo and help on the Orang conservation project, but I am having trouble finding a company which will allow me to combine the two trips.
I have found an organisation which runs projects in africa in wildlife rehabilitation centers and you get to look after baby hippos and cheetahs and you also have the opportunity to teach kids in schools!!! So this would be a good alternative. You actually get to go out and help relocate rhinos and stuff!!!!! Oh it looks amazing!!!!! Another plus to this is that you can opt to do it on horseback!
But I really love orang utans and they’re so endangered!
I have my whole life to do stuff in, I don’t have to do it all at once.
Then the summer after uni I want to go and be a camp counsellor at Camp America. I think my skill would be singing or drama or something along those lines.
